Hi, I just had a few questions that I needed help on.
1) How many racquets should I have for a 12 or 14 Boys Singles tournament?
2) Is there a tension range I should string them all on, or should I string them at the same tension?
3) How big are crowds/audiences in tournaments? I get "stage fright" sometimes and I was wondering how you guys deal with it.
4) Last question, if I join the USTA, is joining a league required and do I self-rate myself, or does a USTA person rate me?
Thanks in advance to everyone that helped!

1) You should have a minimum of 2-3 1 primary and two spares since you'll never know what'll happen especially if you're going out of state or a ways off.
2) All should be strung at the same tension you feel comfortable with since it seems you get stage fright so stringing at different tensions may make you feel like you're jinxing yourself
3. I was really scared at my first tournament and surprisingly i dealt with it well just focus on the game and only the game and you'll be fine trust me show no fear only confidence and it could really intimidate your opponent and cause them to play worse which only works to your advantage
4) no one has to rate you just start playing in your age group tournaments and no you don't have to join a league cuz alot of areas don't even have a league

1) 2-4 racquets will be fine unless you're playing a really long tournament
2) Your racquets should all be strung with the same tension so they feel very similar
3) At national tournaments, there are usually a lot of people at popular ones. At sectional ones there are only the parents of the players usually. It's not like a Grand Slam where there are 10000 people.
4) If you're playing as a junior you just start playing in tournaments and then you acquire a ranking after getting enough points.

when you are at your first few tournaments you probably won't have to experience very large crowds.
