i've been shanking a lot of balls. im not positive if im changing either i should have said im pure 1 for now but i might change back to my old 2 hander. once i see my coach again im gonna ask him which would be better for my game

i like both, my reasons are on other thread but i'll keep this short.
1hbh-->more angle (hardly any spin) very easy slice
2hbh-->less angle lots more power and spin slice is suicide this way lol.

i have a two handed backhand but i keep my left hand on the handle so i can slice it but i let it go to slice or drop shot it.

I'd kind of like to see it broken down by gender, just out of curiosity.

i think the one hand backhand is more powerful because two hand is limited. but i dont kno... like forehand , would it be more powerful one hand or two. i think one

One handed backhands are definitely more powerful.

It ALL depends on the player
Fed's 1HBH is much more powerful than many other tour players' 2HBH

i don't think it is much of a stretch to say that most 2hbh'ers use the 1hbh to hit a slice...

I had a decent 1 hander going while my wrist was broken but my 2bh really is much better.

both.
if i go for powerplays and slices, i use 1hand
but for control and stability esp with the return of serve, i use 2hands

Traditional 1HBH all the way.
My son is coached to do a 2HBH but he thinks the 1HBH looks cooler so he tries that with considerable success. I'm very impressed that a 9 year old wants to play attractive tennis!

When I first strated playing tennis I was taught a 2 handed backhand, I really couldn't get a hang of it. I have been using a one handed backhand for around a year now and am loving it, I am able to get a lot of power (racquet head speed), and tons of spin. The thing I love about one handed backhands is that the angles you can create with them. I am able to hit easy winners with very short angles by just flicking the wrist.
Definitely one hand, also look's cooler ;)

its better to return a serve with two handed backhands coz it makes you more stable thus the recoil is reduced thus producing more control.. but for a second serve, simply return with a single backhand and attack your opponent >:)

i do 2 hbh most of the times now, but when i'm close to the service line, and i get a chance to finish the point with a winner, i use 1hbh, because it's easier that way

I used 2 handed for 9 years and started getting bored and start using 1 handed.
EVERYONE KNOWS 1 HANDED SLICE IS FUN!
So now im good with both and use them. My dad tells me to stick with 2 handed tho o.O

I used to do 2HBH for topspin 1HBH everything else, but I recently switched to pure 1HBH because I think it looks better, and it's just more fun to rip 1HBH's then 2HBH's

i can just rip away at the ball with a 1hbh. i prefer topspin but will slice it just to change the rhythm of the rally. and to also piss off my opponents.

Most of the time I'll use a 1BH. Sometimes I might use a 2bh depends where i'm at on the courts. also I'm tryign to add more TS on my 1bh

Yep, 2 hander most of the time, 1 handed slice. Slice is great fun, innit?

1 hander topspin, 2 hander slice. not really. pure 1 hander, I think it is (atleast for me) technically superior in every way to the two hander apart from maybe stability. does anyone slice with a 2-hander? that would be really awkward.
