I love 18g string but snap it in like 3 games? Does this thin kevlar last? I know it will last longer than hammertec 18g but does it still snap easily? I would really like to try it out but am unwilling to spend 65.00 to just try it. Let me know the durability of it and is it playable?

It feels great but it's gonna hurt.

It will only hurt if you string it at the wrong tension.

I broke two balls - tennis balls - in one week playing with 16 gauge Kevlar - and I hit fairly flat. I imagine 18 gauge Kevlar is not very good for balls.

it's a lot more comfortable that one might think when you get that thin, but i hit with a western forehand, and it's just... SPIN, SPIN and... MORE spin... it's pretty incredible. I didn't like it, and had to adjust my stroke for it, so i cut it out and put in 17g kevlar... (i prefer polys now, but just because they're cheaper)

Both Deuce and diredesire are dead-on. When I use an all syn gut string job I string in the low-mid 60's, but since switching to an Ashway kevlar 18/OG micro 17 hybrid I am now stringing in the low 50's. The spin you can get from this string is absolutely insane.

I use gosen aramix blend (kevlar main micro cross) at 18g. The kevlar kisses the ball so the feel is great! Kevlar byitself will really be tight.... and if u string it at 55lbs or below your fine, if u go 60 your arm and ligaments are gona be hurting.

What about this. I use polylon 17 mains at 65 lbs, and Micro 17 crosses at 63. It feels good, but the tension drops of course. I would love to keep the stiff firm feel of the original tension, but not really possible with poly. If I used lets say 18g kevlar mains and the micro 17 crosses, what would you suggest stringing them at? I've used kevlar in someone else's racquet, and it's just so mute. Does the 18 still feel mute?
