what kind of dampener is this that he uses? I like the look of it and haven't seen it around.

not sure about that one, but the new Fischers come out with one similar.

When did Baghdatis sign with Nike?!

maybe you should look at the original picture a**hole. To the enquiring poster: he is using a pro number one FT (discontinued). He was a nike guy before adidas. The dapener looks just like a ties rubberband with the "bunny ears" cut off. (for those of you looking to replicate).

If you look at the top of the handle and throat you will see that's NOT a FT version. It is some iteration of the Pro No 1 or VT Pro 98 tapered beam.

that does look pretty nice. Small and unobtrusive.

It's a Fischer Vibrastop. I've been using those for years. They havent been available for some while.

Looks like those unique ones, but without the big metal piece

Yes they are exactly like the Unique ones, except the unique ones have a brass middle, while the fischer ones are just raised rubber.

They used to come with fischer rackets up until a few years ago. It was the official fischer branded vibration dampener. I think they still make them, and by the way Hrbaty uses them too.

They work pretty much exactly like a thick rubber band that is wrapped serveral times around the main strings. I use to use it in my vac pro 98 and it had a little deader feel than rubber bands, but pretty close nontheless.

I'm sure if you put a post in the wanted section you will get a few replies. since everyone that bought a fischer racket until a couple years ago, got one of these with their racket.
