What is the trend line for tension loss after a new string job, and where does the tension usually bottom out? E.g., if you start at 62, would you be down to 58 within, say in the first five to ten sessions, and what would be the ending stasis point?

Just curious what tension I'm really playing at, vs. the tension the racquet is initially strung at. Not going to do much w/the info, just curious. :-)

I can't answer all those questions but I have noticed when TW field tests a string, they measure initial stringbed loss after 24 hours with no play - and it's generally a loss in the 8-9% range, but I have seen it as high as a 16% loss! Look for REVIEW on strings, and then BENCH TESTING. Here's an example for Gamma Live Wire http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Reviews/GLWXP16/GLWXP16Review.html

Thanks...the measurements in that link are pretty surprising...I had no idea strings could lose that much tension w/out even being used.
