View Full Version : Which run was more impressive at Wimbledon '06, Baghdatis or Nadal's?

It's been often said that Nadal's road to the final last year was very easy (I agree only partially) and thus not very impressive. But what about Baghdatis' run? He obviously beat 2 very talented grasscourters, Hewitt and Murray. And then went on to crash in straight sets to Nadal. However, according to the logic of the ATWC (Average Tenniswarehouse Chump) and perhaps some brightminded people too, Baghdatis' run would still be more impressive than Nadal's, no?

Definitely not. The fact he was kicked around by Nadal in the semis, when he should not have been that tired destroys any idea his run was more impressive. That is not to say it wasnt still extremely impressive. It was a great run, and he should be applauded for it. Not better then Nadal's though.

I agree. I'm curious to see the responses from posters who say Nadal had an easy and he didn't meet players like Hewitt-Roddick.
