I asked this player at the Newport Tournament in RI to sign a ball, he said sure, after I said good luck he said thanks. Is he a player I cant find who he is anywhere.

That is funny. I remember seeing a guy with a racquet bag on his back signing balls at Wimbledon, he had a little crowd around him. I've been watching tennis for years and I didn't recognise him. I asked somebody who had a ball signed by him, and they said "I've no idea who he is but other people were getting his autograph so we thought we ought to"!
