So I live near San Luis Obispo and decided I needed another pair of PS 6.0 95's. I went in to the physical Tennis Warehouse location and have learned that that particular size is discontinued. The modern alternative is the ksix-one series. Does anyone have any experience with both that can share their thoughts? BTW, it's been a little less than two years since I've been here and it's great to be back!

if you like the PS 6.0 95, i think you will like the ncode 6.1 95 more than the K-Factor 6.1 95.

why so? and so the k series isn't supposed to replace the n-code series?

TW still gets the PS 6.0 95 under a SMU contract just like they still get the PS 6.0 85. They are just currently sold out of the PS 6.0 95 but expect to get more in October.

BTW, both the 95 and 85 have been "officially" discontinued for years, but TW has them specially made for TW by Wilson.

No problem.

SMU = "Special Make Up", which just means specially made to order.

BTW, what grip size are you looking for?

I'm going to go for a 1/2, I think with a tournagrip it will be perfect.

because the ncode 95 plays more like the 6.0 95 than the K95.

You should demo both the ncode 95 and the k95 before making a decision.

Can you say more about this?

Thanks.

I found the K6.1 way too overpowered to be compared to PS 6.0 95.
Plus, the K6.1 doesnt have much feel, unlike the PS 6.0 95.

Mick is right, the ncode is much closer, since ncode has better feel the kfactor, and lower powered.

I prefered n6.1 95 much more than the K6.1.
K6.1 seemed more like a rocket with no feel. But you can get great winners out of it.
But, of course, you can do that with ncode 6.1 95 also.

I agree with Jr.

Also, the K95 is a mighty stiff racquet. According to the specs on TW

stiffness rating:
K95 = 69
6.0 95 = 66
ncode 95 = 65

It feels stiffer than the 6.1 Classic to me even though the 6.1 Classic's stiffness rating is 72.

The nCode has that swingweight to take into account though. I haven't tried it so i dont know how heavy it swings though.

the n6.1 swings alot heavier than the PSO 6.0. i've never tried the k6.1 95(only the tour90) but if the k95 has the same feel as the k90, then i would say k6.1 would be a better replacement than the n6,1

do they even sell the n6.1 95? I couldn't find it...
