I remember when I started watching tennis, I used to be a big fan of his and tried to emulate his extreme forehand strokes. But recently this guy is no where to be seen. Is he still competeting on the ATP tour? US Open?

Yes he has been around if you are watching tennis tournaments or at least check scores daily or weekly, you'll find he lost in the opening rounds of a few tournaments, but he's out there. He made quarters in Munich and Casablanca.

I think he was in the qualifying draw at Cincinnati, but you can double check.

He really should stop smoking, it's hurting his game. :(

I watched him lose to Kunitsyn in the first round at Legg Mason earlier this month.

Ok, I'm an idiot...does he really smoke or just making this up? Talking about Sebastian, right?

From what I've heard/noticed most of the French players smoke at least occasionally. ;)

They likely smoke a lot, lilke Cedric Pioline. IMO, you wither smoke or you don't.

A friend of mine was in Montréal and said she saw him smoking outside the practice courts after he practiced. It's actually not that surprising though, about 25% of French people smoke, so why not their players?

Grosjean is 29 years old (ranked #83), the same age as Tommy Haas (#9), and a bit younger than Moya(#19) and Bjorkman (#57) who all still get good results and take care of themselves better. But maybe he's just having a bad year.

I was wondering the same thing. He is one of my favourite players and i hope he preparing well for the Us Open.

Grosjean has also battled injuries the last couple of years. I think it was some kind of hamstring tear but not certain.
