Got to make a decision by Wednesday. Trying to decide between the Pure Drive Cortex 107 or 110. I play with an AeroPro Control but looking at a Drive for a singles racquet. Like the Drive for the fact that I can catch the ball on the rise a lot better, which helps for singles.
Let me know which you think would be the best of these two for playing singles.

if you provide your own power I wouldn't go above the 107, because even the standard PD's are very powerful

Why the oversize?

If you're a singles player you might want a mid+ version because it'll be much more manueverable around the court.

The mid+ has all the power you could ever need..

I was considering the oversize because of the ease of catching balls on the rise and hitting them for winners and also the ease of stepping into sloppy second serves and hitting winners. Sometimes I mishit them.

The 110 is a granny stick, get the 107.

Almost every ball that you miss-hit with a 107 you will still miss-hit with a 110, probably 99 out of 100 or more. Mis-hits are about a lot more than just frame size.

And also, if you use a two-handed backhand it's a good idea to get the plus. I demoed the regular and got a nasty blister because my bottom hand would slip down on the bottom of the handle, because there wasn't enough room.

Thanks everyone. I will go with the 107. My playing style is serve and volley & I use a onehanded backhand. Just looking for a little extra pop for when I have been forced behind baseline by a return I can't come in behind.

Approachshot, do come back with a description of how it feels and such. I am an OS fan myself. Always looking to try new stuffs when I gots the money. I have tried a lot of heavy flexy stuffs, but PD 107 cortex IS the stiff and more even balanced stuff. I really really wanna know how it feels.

Yeah, go for the normal PD, not the oversize.

what are you used to? you don't need the plus becuase you said you use a 1hbh correct? from there i think it is just preference. if you are used to a long stick and like it then go with the plus. if you have always used standard length sticks then go wit hthe standard. i personally like the plus for serving and for my 2hbh.
