Could someone explain how to do/practice these tricks. Some other threads did not describe in detail the techniques:

1) Hitting a ball in the air, and catching it on the strings without it bouncing. Some people might refer to it has "cradling."

2) Spinning the racquet with your finger between the strings. Like at 1:00 in this video

Well, i'm by no means a trickster myself but spinning the racket on my fingers i can do! I don't think he is actually spinning is with the strings...dampner maybe. Chances are he has his fingers on the bottom edge of the FRAME/top of the throat. There are a few vids on youtube that shows people performing racket tricks...check them out!

Cradling is exactly what it sounds like. You got to curve your racquet using your wrist to catch the ball. It kinda looks like you are carving around the ball. This will take some practice.

Some people have described it like catching an egg or a water balloon. You can't just stick your hands/racket out there...hard to describe...watch you tube vids!

The cradling thing is pretty easy, when the ball is coming in you move your racquet kind of like a pendelum, you're basically rolling the ball onto the racquet versus letting the ball "hit" your racquet.
