I just wanna try to understand the meaning of driving through the ball. I'm not completely sure what it means.

A more direct vs. oblique hit . . . as in a more horizontal vs. vertical swing path . . . delivering more power vs. spin.

Yeah, it's the opposite of a brushing motion.

extension, straighten your arm through the ball

It's the same as hitting thru the ball. Imagine 3 balls lined in a row. If u do extreme topspin, u only hit 1 of those balls. If u drive thru it, u hit all 3 balls.
