I am looking for a string with the most playability, that is $15 or less. I am currently using forten nylon (I no I'm making a big jump in price) and I just want more playability. Thanks for the help.

PSGD is one of the best synthetic guts out there if you count like the stringing.

Otherwise, a lot poly's cost under 15 dollars.

Cost is not important as long as the set doesn't go past $15. I'm looking for the closest thing to gut. Polys don't have the feel that I'm looking for.

Nor then does PSGD. You're a good candidate at this time for Tecnifibre's Multifeel. For what you are using now it's the best transition string, and just costs around $10.

I have never played gut, but I have played prince premier with softflex and it is supposed to be close to a gut. It runs just over 10$

Gut mains + cheap Syn. Gut crosses? Will equal to around $15 depending on what type of gut.

I agree with xie. Synthetics have gotten so expensive trying to "feel" like gut. You can buy Tonic+ for $25, use it in the mains then put OG 17g (or any good inexpensive synthetic) in the crosses. This will give you the "feel" of gut, because it is gut, for no more than $30 for two racquets. You will also get the, touch, tension holding, durabilty (gut is actually pretty darn durable), of gut for the price of a good synthetic that is "trying" to feel like gut.

Now this is if you string yourself. You will have to add a bit more if someone strings for you because in most cases they will charge you more to string the Gut, maybe $5 more.
