How much would you pay for a private lesson with Brad Gilbert?

Seiously, it may happen for me! Bidding in an auction - one of the items is a private lesson with Brad (along with a signed copy of his book - which I already have). I will be putting in a pretty aggressive bid.

You should demand Brad to see if Roddick will be your hitting partner while he watches you play exclusively just like the pro's coaches do it. See what he says ;)

If Brad watches while you hit with Roddick then bid what you can afford. I hope you put in the winning bid then come back and tell use about Roddick's power.

he's a good strategist, and will probably be able to tell you how you should play..Perhaps.....

It's tough to tell how good Brad Gilber is at technical part.

The thing is the lesson will probably be is 1 hour or 1.5 hour....He's professional and he will be able to pick a lot of things from you....But IMO it's just too short of time to do anything..

If I won, I'd want him to come and coach me during the next tournament. Can you imagine that, showing up with Brad Gilbert at your local tourney ? Good luck - hope you win !

Brad is a guru at analyzing matches and player trends, thus he is not going to be able to help you with this *most important* part of tennis competiton. Im sure his eye for mechanics is as good or better than most any top level pro you could pay for a private lesson *but* you will be spending alot more to have brad give you this analysis that any top notch teaching pro could provide. Im sure you realize its a publicity service and you are paying for the priviledge to take part.
Good luck, it would be great to get the scoop from a TW board poster :!:

He might tell you to leave your girlfriend to concentrate on tennis.

He should tell Andy that, I'd retire from tennis then and ask Mandy what she's doing later

Not sure how it works now b/c of BG's work with the LTA but you used to be able to arrange for private lessons with him during the year when he wasn't traveling. His wife actually emailed me with the information and the rates which were pretty high. I was considering it b/c I was going to play a big USTA tourney and was going to be in the Bay Area anyway but it didn't work out.
