View Full Version : Your thoughts: Should a 6 year old girl be using a PDR+?

I'm not going to bias this poll with my thoughts. We have a parent on the boards posting about his 6 year old daughter playing with a Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus.
What are your thoughts? and, if you're a coach, please say so in your reply!

Unless this 6 yeah old is very well developed as a player, and can actually lift the thing, which I doubt knowing todays youth. I'm going to vote no, but it's not out of the question, it really depends on who we're talking about.

I'd probably advise against it, mainly because of the stiffness of the PDR+, not the weight (which isn't _that_ bad).

I saw the video and the choice of frame doesn't seem to be bothering her. For a player that young and only to be playing one year I am fairly impressed with her hand-eye coordination, swing and movement.
I have also seen many other kids this young use these type of frames and they are playing just fine.
