But a good close-up shot anyway.

Mine's bigger.

Is that your index finger?

Someone should start a thread about callouses. I have massive ones on my right hand which makes pretty much immune to blisters.

That's nothing;)

Not index... it was the middle one.

that's why you shouldn't use tournagrip hehe

Yep, I have a callous exactly where you lost some skin. My favorite is the one I have on the lower left side of my palm, where the butt cap of my racket rests. Its a little over a half an inch long and feels like sand paper.

that's why you shouldn't use tournagrip heheI am spoiled and use only replacement grips... but still manage to get blisters once in a while. Overgrips are too hard for me. And how about Calleri using hard leather grip

09-03-2007, 08:00 PM
oh I see. You just use leather replacement grips? How long before you change them each time?

09-03-2007, 08:07 PM
No, no leather grips for me. I use Wilson and Pacific replacement grips (synthetic). I am amazed at some people being able to use leather grips, since they are too hard. Calleri is one example.... He uses it.

Yea, how often do you replace your grips then? They must get slippery pretty fast, no?

i only have a callus---if i go for a while without playing, i'll get an actual blister or rip

09-03-2007, 09:51 PM
That's a nice photo

09-03-2007, 10:02 PM
lol...that used to be normal for me. try two blisters on top of each other forming in the matter of 30 minutes...i used to get red blisters that would leak out blood...that's when it gets interesting...

maybe i need to grip my racquets harder...
i am a pretty hard hitter and do not notice any abuse on my hand :(

Please stop posting disturbing images of this sort, or else I will photograph my toes and post them.

So you are flipping us this bird with you nasty, blistered finger... NICE :p

my big toe also experienced something like that. For that to happen you musy have peeled it immediately. I suggest you first puncture a small hole onto the blister. Drain all the liquid out and wait for 3-4 days. You can then peel it little by little and bandage it.

my blisters grow at the beggining of the finger, i have never had one up there.

I don't get problems that far up the finger either. Mine are right under the knuckles and right under the main joint on the fingers. I also have a pretty good callus going on my palm where the buttcap rests.

Maybe it's the camera angle but your digit is weird like ET.

An old friend of mine ripped his thumb from the base to the finger nail. Shock was the word of the day.
