Posters Leaving Because of New Message Board

It seems it's already begun with one poster already stating that he's leaving. I'm considering it too unless we get back some of the nice features of the old board. The ones I would like is the "check messages" feature where I could see all the new posts in a thread that I've subscribed to. Also, would like the threads to be posted in the order they are posted, not by latest message posted. And a default bigger font size would really be great.

Anyhow, how many are considering not posting here anymore???

perhaps you should try the redice theme. It seems to be designed for you and the other couple larger font advocates..

I don't want anyone to leave.. But, that said, I am tired of the same 4 or so people crying about how much they want the old board back. I would estimate about 10% of the 900+ post so far are from these 4 people crying about the board. The old board IS NOT COMING BACK. get over it already.

I can adjust to the changes, although I had no issues with the old board. I do question why all for sale ads are being filtered. That's fine if it's meant to catch the rip off artists, but is that the intent?

I haven;t yet made up my mind, but I do agree with Topspin. I miss the order/sequencing of the other board. It was easier to keep track of the new topics.

c'mon, nobody's gonna leave the boards and they know it. I liked the way the old board was set up too but let's face it, it's gone. Just like Pete Sampras. Deal with it, learn to use it and lets get back to talking about tennis.

I've seen the last forum and I thought it was awfully primitive...
No search function and it took you forever to find what you wanted to know.
Anyone leaving because of the new format imho has rocks in their heads...
I guess this is because they don't know what a real forum site should look like or function...
If people want to leave, it's their loss..

I never posted to the old forums. But like many others i browsed them for year.

Imho they were better in many respects because the people who did signup and post actually cared enough to write informative posts. So the signal to noise ratio was far better than todays forum. When access to the old forums was withdrawn and the data not replicated to the new forum, we lost a huge amount of expert knowledge and advice.

Be good if TW converted the data into a suitable format for general public perusal again. Like there IT guy promised couple years ago..
