Sweet, I liked the way Safin kept his cool while Canas didnt. He did get screwed by the line judge in the tiebreak though.

It's unreal how well Marat is controlling the match with his groundstrokes now, even without his first serve totally on. Finally he's coming to the net more, and surprise...he's a great volleyer.
I must give Canas credit though, he played hard, ran everything out, and has a surprisingly effective first serve through it's accuracy.

I think Safin will take this tourney too, gonna be tough to beat him playing like this.

Stepanek kicked Marat's *** up and down the court in Moscow quite recently. Everything's possible, although Marat likes to play BNP way more than Kremlin Cup.

Safin played some outstanding tennis, showing why he should win some more slams. He groudies were overpowering, he played some simply amazing touch volleys and he was all over the court hustling. I believe that he can be Federer playing this type of a game and look forward to more of his A game in the masters and next year. Nobody seems to be mentioning coach Peter Lundgren but he obviously deserves alot of credit !!!
