if your racquet comes with pallet system, just change the pallet size to 4 3/8.
if not, then you can put on the 2 full size shrink-sleeve, the negative side is the shrink-sleeve is quite heavy, and it will increase the static weight and change the balance of your racquet....

the guy at my proshop recommended using Gamma's head-protection tape and wrapping it around the handle... the tape's relatively light and so 2 layers shouldn't alter the balance too much...

Follow-up... Gamma Dura Guard... http://www.gammasports.com/gamma.cfm?prodid=83

another thing to note, building up a grip that much will also make it feel a whole lot rounder.

Actually going from 1/4 to 3/8 only requires one full-size heat shrink. This is a more permanent solution. Another is by using one or two overgrips, depending the brand.

What I did was I put one overgrip under the main grip, then an overgrip over that one, although I only did that so that the grip wouldn't be too big after I wrapped the lead tape on the handle.

When going from a 1/4 to 3/8, I use the small heat shrink sleeve and a new grip + over grip. Works perfectly every time. I recently sleeved a POG and then installed a new butt cap and wrapped it with TW's new leather grip.

Sweet perfection

The other solution is to buy new rackets.
