Some of the quotes I like is..

"You have to have will to work hard to win, not will to win"

"You have got to do what you have got to do". It's pretty ordinary, but I think it's pretty powerful one..

"Just hang in there this time, and pull this one off".

And if you never win and you never quit, you're stupid.

My high school track coach used to quote Vince Lombardi, I don't remember the exact quote but it was something like "The committment to excellence isn't a sometime thing, the committment to excellence is an every day thing"

Yogi Berra. My fave of his, "It's getting late early" when one of the teams gets out to a huge lead right away.

I like Yogi's "You'll observe a lot of things by just looking around'' - or something like that.

Hey, Camilio --

Not motivational quotes so much, but Yogi was great and a true original.

"Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded."

"50 percent of the game is 90 percent mental."

"I never said half the things I said."

On playing left field in Yankee Stadium in October: "It gets late out there early this time of year."

As New York Mets manager, circa 1973: "You can't win without a bullpen." Truer words were never spoken.

One of my favorite motivational quotes, from a guy in my high school yearbook:

"When the going gets tough, take a break."

Not necessarily words to live by, but ...

"When you're ahead, hit a dropshot." {at least it's my thinking}

When playing doubles...."Win this match or I'll beat your *****"

"When in doubt, call it out" :D

Here's a great golf one I heard Tiger Woods say when he was teaching some tv personality to play golf(I hate golf, BTW):
"if you swing and only hit the ground, you just hit the big ball"

The journalist: - Hey coach, may the best win!
And the reply of a poor and small soccer team trainer: - Let's hope not!
It happened in the 60's in Italy. :P
