View Full Version : Discuss Your Supernatural Powers and Experiences Here

As recently discussed in some other threads, there are at least a few of us here that have either supernatural powers or some supernatural experiences. My own powers and experiences are probably very modest compared to what others have to share, so it would be fascinating to hear other's stories. So for instance, I have once observed a UFO which was shaped as a plate. Also, as a child I had such strong mental/spiritual connection with my friend that he could pick out a card from a deck of 52 and we would look each other in the eye for a minute or two and establish a connection whereby I would be able to tell what the card was that he had picked. I have also found some ability to dictate my will when touching a person. And I have also had some episodes when I could suddenly see pictures from the future. It would be great if all you talents would share your powers and experiences here too.

no supernatural or other powers. but from childhood i would look at others (people and animals) and just knew that it was the same thing (flame) inside me, that was inside them.

I could never figure out how "I" was supposed to be limited to this body and ended where my fingers are, and "you" begin over there.

I could never see anyone else as separate. Sometime then, i guess the indoctrination began, or began or take over, what i now love to call the "grim realities of life" from a post by Uncle Phil :-)

the indoctrination of "each man for himself" and it's "me against the world" ...that kind of stuff it never won thankfully, a battle persisted and finally the beautiful truth seems to be winning!

i could never understand how lines could be drawn between species, let alone men (countries, race, religion, class, caste , economic, educational, etc etc).

those were lonely years, to live thru an experience you cannot discuss with anyone. today, now that the "barriers" are breaking down, and i see God everywhere, there is no loneliness, and it has been like being born and growing up all over again. which is beautiful. To be a child, and to know it!

I can understand the feeling you are reflecting, but how do you merge this feeling of unity with the everyday realities of separation? How do you reject the approach of a stray dog in the market when inside you know that the two of you share the same flame inside and are one and the same? How do you retain your comfort whilst rejecting the beggar in the street for his booze money? It is so easy to share the flame with creatures that deep inside you know are superiour on some level. But how does it feel to reject those that you consider inferior for practical reasons dictated by the everyday reality? Are those even valid questions? Are some amongst the equals more equal than others?

sobad, thanks for asking.
my usual answer to such questions (not that anyone ever asks) is that you have to be "here" or in this position to know. Otherwise there will be no end to your questions. and the questions are not even valid.

However, since you will interpret that as my "running away" from answering i will attempt to answer. but at the very outset i must say that i am NOT liberated, or enlightened or anything. You must also believe that i have no agenda, no religion or God to promote, etc. i came here only to hang out with tennis lovers, honest. These answers are the answers of someone still on the way ...

1. since i am attached to a body, and perceive it to be mine, i will still protect it if a dog attacks. However, there will be no malice or hatred or ill-will. Same for when one of the guys who plays with me, and keeps cheating and trying to draw me into a fight.
the latter is a more serious case actually, since it attempts to draw out the separation even more. what happens is that i first fail (once i lost my temper) and then i grow a bit, and then i fail less the next time, and more love comes. i clearly know that these are the tests that are designed to complete the unity. they are testing the separation, forcing me to decide between hatred and love. each time i allow love to win, i grow. As i see it God guides and works through choices, not by talking to me from the sky (that may happen to others, but NOT to me). He puts me in situations that allow me to grow, providing i chose correctly.

2. i was recently in a situation again where i failed miserably. i dont want to get into it, but i did reject someone knowing it was God pushing me, testing my limits. I am trying to grow, so i can cross that in future. God sees the sincerity in your attempt/desire.

3. I don't sense this, but people far away have said that i clearly emanate love. I believe i radiate joy, otoh. whatever, i do believe this influences the environment, and whatever "untoward" that happens, happens only by divine will, this i KNOW, i do not believe. Thus, whatever happens, i welcome it. i do NOT fear the future at all, or anyone in my path. i would not fear a snake in my path, or even let's say armed people (however, this has never happened, so its just talk).

4. i do know that even the boozing beggar on the street is God, but he doesn't know it. Just because he is God, does not mean that i would empty my pocket to him. otoh, there is no way i can have more love for someone nice, or related to me, than i could have for a stranger.
perhaps this smacks of hypocrisy, and i admit that at the stage i am (whatever that is) one is fighting against internal hypocrisy, the only difference is that i am always aware of it, never lying to myself, never making excuses for rejecting someone, never looking the other way.
and i know that this "struggle" is also divine will, so its not really a struggle, it causes me no pain or sadness or frustration. i accept it and am at peace.

5. there is really no one more equal than others. Love is unconditional, without boundaries, what has boundaries is some kind of selfishness in the guise of love.

6. my only agenda at this stage really is non-violence to all creatures, since it has always deeply pained me to see suffering, even though today i do know so well that whatever happens is divine will. And this thing of "divine will", honestly, cannot be discussed or explained or defended. Unless you KNOW it, it will seem like a negative, primitive, loser way of looking at things.
Yes, it will be, if its just a mental belief. But not if its something you experience. So until you experience it, i could say forget about it, don't believe me.

sobad, thanks again for an open-minded discussion.

I recently went into a stranger's house (we were thinking about buying it) and knew immediately they had a child who died. As it turned out, their son was killed in a road accident in 2000. We declined a further viewing.

I was also subject to strange happenings as a child. My mother always compained that my bedroom was cold. I was about 2 at the time and was still in my cot. I talked of the "white witch" coming to visit me at night. In the mornings my toys would always be scattered everywhere - even the ones I couldn't reach, even if I could get out of my cot. These events remain unexplainable, but I still wonder what my mum was thinking of, making me sleep in a haunted room!!

Finally my sister and I had the exact same nightmare on the same night, even though we then lived in different places. It was to do with our great-grandmother, who died a few months earlier.

Thanks for your detailed thoughts. Here are my own, with reference to numbered paragraphs in your post:

1. What if the stray dog won’t let up and ultimately you need to harm or kill the dog in order to protect your well-being and continue about your business. Does that mean you have failed God’s test for ability to love or have you merely acted rationally in protecting your well-being?

2. Rejecting someone is not a failure, as exemplified in (1) above with aggressive stray dog.

3. When you say you don’t “fear” a (presumably poisonous) snake in your path, is that to say that you would continue along your path thus risking a deadly attack?

4. If the beggar is God, why wouldn’t you give him money, if that’s what he wants. After all, God is God and money is only money.

5. That love has boundaries becomes evident when one is forced to make choices. It is then evident that love for one is bounded by love for the other, if by nothing else.

6. What about the aggressive stray dogs, poisonous snakes and armed men that may cross your path?

I guess, to summarise, the ultimate question is, how does infinite and unconditional love coexist with realities of life?

While this is probably more than most of us would want for lunch, I am not sure your accomplishment quite meets the "supernatural" criteria that we have implicitely established for the purposes of this discussion. In particular, in our commonly accepted physical world there are eating contests all the time, and there is one in Queens every year where that boy Kobayashi or Katsunori or whatever eats over 30 hotdogs within five minutes every year or something.

I am married with children.

OK, thanks for posting your experiences. Regarding the first one, you were just being perceptive. For instance, assuming that the son was the only child, a house set up for a couple with a live-in child is different from a house set up for couple with no children. Also, death of a child is probably the worst thing to happen to parents, so it leaves a mark on them. So perhaps the combination of house setup misalignment and the mark on the couple gave you signal.

As for the toys scattered around the room, without further details, such as other persons, including siblings, living in the house, pets, wind conditions in the room, etc., we would have to accept that there was spooky going on.

As for dreams, including nightmares, I believe that those never form out of vacuum. Generally your night time dreaming is reflection of the last thoughts (perhaps subconscious) on your mind before falling asleep. So the dream about great-grandmother must have been triggered by something, so you have to wonder whether the event that caused the thoughts that had led to the dream, once identified, may indeed turn out to be common between you and your sister (such as telephone conversation).

too often to be coincidence, it occurs almost every week, I call someone and they say "I was just getting ready or picking up the phone, to call you"

I doubt this sort of thing is coincidence, but there could be explanations for this, other than supernatural. One explanation is that the reciever of the call is being polite, knowing that they are supposed to call and don't really want to, so once they recieve the call, they say "i was just about to call you" as a polite excuse for not having called previously. Another explanation would be patterns of behaviour that exist unobserved. It happens with tennis hitting partners, for instance, where you think you just call each other up randomly during the week to hit, whereas in reality there are particular times of week and hours of day when you do it, unbeknowst to either of you.

Interesting experience you describe jmsx, and Max G. thanks for the article. I would not doubt the experience or the explanation in the article, but at the same time I cannot help but wonder if the bigger picture is obscured by the specificity of the phenomenon in the article. What I mean is, is conscious and subconsious state of mind really that black and white in nature that science would be able to separate a condition that particular in its nature? Do we never have dreams while awake? Don't we at times find ourselves aware of reality while asleep? Is there really a line to be drawn between the conscious and unconscious state of our existence? Perhaps much of the time we are in the gray area in between?

That's QUALITY. Believe it or not, I had something similar as a child - I was staring at the shelves in the living room in this home where my parents were attending a party, and I was suddenly feeling that all those fragile items on the shelves are vulnerable. And then overnight there was an earthquake (not all that big though). Apparently some animals also sense earthquakes and other disasters arriving, maybe children in general are closer to nature in the same primitive way than human adults.

OK, the son that died was not an only child. They also had a daughter who is currently 9. House was set up with two bedrooms in use and two bedrooms empty. It was almost as if the house had taken in their angst.

I find it interesting that there is no word in the English language for someone who has lost a child. If you lose your parents you are an orphan; it's almost as if the horror of losing a child is so great that it doesn't have a name.

As for the toys scattered around the room, without further details, such as other persons, including siblings, living in the house, pets, wind conditions in the room, etc., we would have to accept that there was spooky going on.

At the time I was the only child and we didn't have pets. As for wind conditions, I believe there was glass in the windows. Definitely spooky.

sobad, Many of these are hypothetical situations that i cannot answer today. i would be fooling myself and you if i pretended i knew.

But since i know point 2 in detail, i know it was a failure, where growth is required.
3. not necessarily. i could stop and wait for it to pass. if it passed by me, i *presume* there would be no fear. for all u know i could also wet my pants. I would also never approach some animal mother with her cubs. This actually has to do more with a state of surrender, of trust in the God you experience at all times. I would in many cases protect myself, just as i eat or drink or sleep to keep alive.

praps i will share another example i have actually considered. if i have some minor ailment i would get it treated. if i have some major ailment, say i am diagnosed with cancer, i do not think i would go through treatment. I would just accept it as the end, quite happily. this could be due to several reasons: e.g. my concept of death is no longer what the general concept is. for me, the body dying is no longer death. i know what lies beyond, the same God here, the same God there. thus, i do not see things in terms of "hey this could kill me, those guys could mug me". however, if something falls on me, i would duck.
am i making any sense? what i say is true, but i dont know if i am expressing it correctly. and this is not some blind faith.

your last "ultimate question" is the toughest for 2 reasons: one, i said that i am somewhere in between. i am not liberated, only such a one can give you a definite answer.
but still it works.
do you remember reading the Alchemist. there is just one point i would like to sort of quote from there. the author talks of the "universe conspiring to help you". Now, i am NOT saying that, but its in a similar vein. You do know that nature or this universe is an entity with intelligence, you know and love it enough to trust its decisions and intentions. it works out.
as an example, i love this example, is the life of one devotee saint named Mirabai. she was a devotee and spent her life singing to her Lord. and she went through hell in her personal life, finally leaving her family. If i recall, the husband tries to poison her. The lives of most devotional types are tough, full of tests.

in this state you only see love in whatever happens. how else can i express it. it sounds crazy. i can only mention this in an anonymous forum, never in person. You see love in everything.

Maybe I am. Is there a problem with having a delicious fruit as a user name?
At first I was Snapple, but I had to change it due to a request by the Mods. If you want to give me crap for my user name, do it in PM's so as to not clutter the thread. Thanks Pal.

Can you read properly? I don't think I have given you crap at all. Please point out where I offended you, and I will apologize. If you can't, then I think you should apologize.

I thought you were making a sexual reference as to the name strawberry being feminine. If you were not, I apologize. Yes, I am a dude, yes, my favorite food is strawberries.

Oookay then. You are supernaturally odd.

Can you explain further or maybe give an example, because the way you worded your sentence, it could be interpreted a couple of different ways.

basically i'll be sitting in a restaurant with certain family members in certains seats and then all of a sudden theres this moment when I feel that everything being seen or heard has been seen or heard before in one of my dreams. its really weird, but I haven't had one in a while for sometime now.

Sounds like you made some great kicks - I believe you made those. But I am not sure those are "supernatural" though - I mean those sort of shots happen in the pros even.

how about if i say that i saw the goals going in (in my mind) before hand ;)
sort of like a premonition, but with only a couple of seconds of heads up, right before i kicked it :-)
one thing i did not see coming was what happened afterwards, the other teams coach yelling big time at the goalie :-)

Yes, it seems that my deja vu future prediction powers have been stolen from me. Sometimes I see scenes that I thought I saw before and have experienced the same sensations. Not in my dreams though, just in everyday life.
And yes, why am I wasting my time on the TT boards? Espanol tiempo.

Why is the script for the new Bionic Woman so bad?? It is terrible and the girl cannot act. If govenement puts in a bionic arm and legs for 50 million dollars you are pretty much a property of the gov, so why did she even think that she could just go back to her normal life ??

Actually, I think many people (some of them have posted in this thread) have similar experiences. It's because people develop associations and draw natural parallels between experiences, dreams, and just regular thinking processes.

Because you love it here.

Espanol tiempo.

If you sign up for class that meets on Fri morning you should be comfortable with the idea of skipping it on occasion.

Wow - can you provide some specific examples of these dreams that come true in two weeks?

P.S. Dreaming about a paycheck the morning after you blew the last one on the night full of booze drugs and all sorts of vice does not count, btw...:) ;)

for several years, when i looked at some people, i could tell whether they had/or would have sons or daughters or one of each etc. And i was always correct. thru all this i just knew my brother would have sons.
The day he had daughter i realized all these years had been just coincidences. From that day on i never again had that feeling/premonition or whatever. i guess the streak of correct guesses must have been around 50.
