Hey everyone, i typically use fingernail clippers to cut knots, but i bought one of these today and have tried it out on the strings and cuts it better than most other cutting devices. It also seems to be pretty controllable to cut only the knot string.

How much is this thing anyways? Does it work THAT MUCH BETTER than a fingernail clipper to justify the cost?

I'll still stick with nail clippers.

Thanks for sharing though :D

For $1 looks like it'll do the job just fine.

I thought most people used side cutters

here is a similar one i got,
nail clippers should be a pain trying to cut through some of the thicker strings and alu strings
the wire cutter i got was like $2 bucks, and its small so i can carry it with me in the bag if i need to

I also have some diagonal cutters that work well, but i like the solidness of the end cutters cut.

oh yeah, its also very small, which is nice. It is a little smaller than the size of standard needle nose pliers.

Interesting, I don't cut the knots. I pull the knot down the tie off string with needle nose pliers.

i also have the needle noose pliers and use then as well to pull the knot on the string and/or through the grommet holes when it gets tight, but the angle cutter ones mentioned here seem to do a better job when cutting string and clipping the ends of the knots
