View Full Version : If your shop could only stock one string brand...

...which one would it be? Just asking for opinions, not baiting or flaming here. Just looking for thoughts on your favorite line/brand of strings. IMHO, I can't go wrong with Klip. LOVE their gut, their hybrid sets are awesome and they have really good polys, multis and synthetics. Close second would be Babolat...but damn, they're pricey!

Good question :p

I would pick the company with the most varieties of strings... so Babolat.

Right now, I think I might chose either Gosen, Topspin or Pro Supex for the prices but Babolat and Klip for their good all round range.

This is easy, why wouldn't you go with Wilson?

They own Luxilon, and they have gut from Babolat. Sounds like a slam dunk to me!

gosen, topspin, or pro supex... because they have good strings at reasonable prices. but if i owned a shop i would prob stock babolat because they have top quality strings in every category, which is not really common with many string brands.

Definitely Babolat, for the best quality and variety of types. But Wilson would make sense, too, for reasons stated above (though it might be cheating to include the Luxilon and Babolat products in withb wilson considering how the question was phrased). As for cost, it's a pass-on in the stringing business. If people want decent strings, they'll cover it for you, as long as you're positioned as an expert provider.

Babolat and Pacific are the two best Gut Strings with a good line of Multi, Synthetics, and Poly. I like the Pacific Poly over the Babolat Poly.

For me, it depends. I personally like Wilson for Multis (nxt Tour, sensation, other nxts). Also, they have luxilon for polys and kevlar. They have quality gut and other decent synthetics.

If prince had a better line (quantity) of strings beside PSG.

Babolat is good, but i personally dont like them as a company.

I would carry either Klip or Wilson. They both have a top line natural gut, plus a variety of poly's, multi's and synthetics. Fortunately, I'm not forced to choose between just 1 brand though. Good question though.

Babolat if I thought I might want natural gut ... Tecnifibre if I was committed to synthetics.

Definitely Klip. Never used a bad product from them, and they have top-notch syn guts, multifilaments, natural gut, and polys. All you'd need if they carried the entire product line.
