Is it possible to get any? And, in y'alls opinion, does it make much difference in playability?

I will have our buyer check with the vendors to see if we can bring in uncoated gut.
I've only played with uncoated once, and that was back in the late 1980s so my memory might be a little faded. Things I remember are it had good ball bite, lots of feel, required a little bit more care when stringing, and the durability wasn't great (lasted for about 4 sets). I used 17 gauge Pacific in a Max 200g - felt like a hot knife through butter (coated or not).

I used to use Victor Imperial 15L. It was uncoated. It generally frayed the 1st time you hit with it, but it could get pretty ugly before it broke. This was in the late 70's, early 80's. I think 15L was the thinnest natural gut made then. After Victor went belly up, I used VS Africord which was supposedly a little more moisture resistent than their other guts. It was more durable too, though not as soft as the Imperial.

(uncoated)

You offer it, I'll buy it.
