Actually, I have to be honest and say that I have sold most of them, and only have a few left.. I just don't like things sitting on the wall, and when my wife became pregnant with out second child (born 4 days ago) I decided that the money should go toward him.. Although I do still have a few left that I am more than happy to part with!..

Hey Mick,

Check out this item #220159853516 on the big auction site. ;)

Thanks, BP.
The standard Borg Pro racquet is too demanding for me to use in today's world where players are using larger headsize racquets. I need larger headsize graphite reinforced wood racquets like the Midsize Borg Pro or the Jack Kramer Midsize to have a chance against with them.

As for collecting, I already have two brand new unused and unstrung standard Borg Pro racquets in the closet :)

ps. i played a guy who bought a AK90 and hit the court the first time today. I asked him how does it feel. He said "heavier balls. more powerful shots". Who to tell ? I said "but your great topspin shots have the effect of a dropshot, i was unable to reach it before it bounced twice" :D

well, don't know how to say it...
maybe ... 2 rackets put on the floor, one on top of the other. and take a photo from above, seeing the stringbed overlapping each other.

i bet the woodie's head would be completely seen inside the K90 head.

Its basically a Pro Staff 6.0 with the PJ of another pro staff made for Sampras in the 90's... he didn't use that racquet obviously, hence, it indicates that its only 'endorsed by pete sampras'...

WOW! Very impressive collection of PS!

I just picked up a PS Tour 90 - what do u recommend for string tension? I normally strung my racquet (NTour 90 and K Tour90) at 57 lbs Cross and 55 lbs Main (poly) - would that be too stiff for PS Tour?

@InDZone

Which Volkl do you like better the v engine mid or the dnx and why?

Tour 10 VE is my favorite of the two.
- better weight distribution; not buttom heavy as DNX (weights 12.8 oz compared to 12.5 on VE)
- manueverablity: easier to play at the net, and you can whip your shots much quicker.
- larger sweet spot don't feel unstable even when you mishit
- superb control; I may be bias ; I am trying to figure out the perfect tension for the DNX (string felt too lively; maybe frame is stiffer and the weight).
- Power: DNX wins, but I found that I have to slow down my strokes instead of going for a fast swing. But with VE I am able to play with hit flat or heavy topspin freely with a faster swing and not worry about overhitting.

Check out my post above #112. - comparing Tour 10VE vs DNX

Of the three: I would ranked Tour V10Ve, Tournament Pro and the DNX

Tournament Pro 93 came with an open string pattern that is spin friendly. Stiffer frame and more power than the Tour 10. COntrol is there but not as stable as the Tour 10

Thanks. The St. Vincent is pretty nice, but I think I'm going to sell it because I never play with it. I'm just too used to my China 85's and it's too expensive to use as my main stick and try and gather up a few more.

do you like the kfactors over the others or the 85's?

The one K90 is a U.S. version that I played with for a year then went back to my PS85's. The two new K90's on the left are the Asian versions that I liked more than the U.S., but not as much as my 85's and are going up for sale as well. It's tough playing on clay or indoors with the PS85 against heavy spinners, but I have the advantage of my flat hard strokes that usually push them back if I get into my groove.

Whats the one between the PS 90 and the N90?

Its the ProStaff ROK 93.

Zone how plays the ROK compared to the other Wilson's 90?

Compared to the 90's
It's a little lighter (12.3 oz strung) compared to the other 90's. You can whipped thru the ball much easier but its not as powerful as the 90's (maybe because of the dense string pattern and flexier frame).

ROK is also a tad lighter than the KBlade Tour. Much flexier frame - 62compared to 68 on the KBT - because of this flexier frame ROK produces much lesser power.

You got to swing fast to generate good power.

Its a good racquet for players who wants control but did not want the extra weight and stiffer frame (arm friendly).

So InD,

Which of these three gives the most spin, most pop, and most feel?

I would say -
1. N90
2. K90
3. PS Tour 90

N90 plays better overall of the three - crisp feel, easier to swing and can generate heavy spin. K90 offers more pop but the weight has slowed down my racquet speed as well as heavier to play around the net. PS Tour 90 felt muted of the three, may be because of the string set up (Yonex Super 850); while the two are strung with Pro Supex Hybrids.

Thanks a lot only. Compared to the K90 do you feel the KBT more or less Head Heavy?

KBT head is lighter , making it easier more manueverable compared to the K90. However, one must get used to the denser string pattern on the KBT as you need to give it a full swing to be able to generate the power. Hence the love hate relationship between the players with the KBT.

Yes - the k90 is a tad heavy, once you get going the weight is hardly noticeable although its not for everyone especially when you are playing on a long match. You'll definitely get rewarded with the power the K90 delivers especially on serve.

the racquet is standard length,
about 12.4 oz strung with wilson pro overgrip
balance is 32cm
swingweight is 335
tapered beam 22mm-28mm-22mm
flex seems around 67

if you look closely, I screwed up stringing it bc i wasn't paying attention and it has shared holes; so, it is strung 16x16 right now. hybrid baseline speed spin main and psgd black cross

This thing hits like a truck. I've never hit better serves in my life.

How do there compare when you hit with them?

I used the max 200g in a match at the beginning of july, after a very long time.
It seemed to me bulky and hefty in comparison. The weight was good for slice or touch shots. But the flexibility and smaller head size didn't help when I wanted to hit flat and hard. Overall, I played very bad.
I prefer the crisper feel, thinner profile and bigger sweet spot of the ag100

They are not exactly RPNY models. RPNY got some of these from Head about a year ago and are now completely sold out. The difference is that they are lighter and can be matched to Head specs. Or like mine; 12.4oz 9pts HL strung. To get this headlight otherwise I would have to add to much weight to retail frames.

I got these three from some forum members for $200+ each. I also had Wilson pallets installed by RPNY; $60 each. And three RPNY leather grips; $22 each. So add string, damp, and overgrip, various shipping costs...ready to rock at over $1000.

Head Spec = specifications of weight and balance that Head prints in the throat of the racquets. Trying to match retail frames to these numbers is hard because they vary so much and they are trying to achieve these numbers straight from the factory so there is less wiggle room to play with. They don't hit any better than the retail frames, they are just are more maneuverable and whippy. They don't plow through as much as the retail frames, but I can generate more racquet head speed, which translates into a heavier ball with more spin for me.

Great tweaks.

Sounds like you really enjoy your MGP mids.

You did say in the Wilson racket thread that you've sold a lot of your Wilsons to switch to the Heads......

My collection a few months ago. They are all but gone. Replaced with three MG Prestige Mid's.

Did you keep any of the Wilsons?

geesechops

I really do like the Prestige's. I would have to credit Drakulie's long MG Prestige Mid thread for getting me interested in even trying a Head racquet. I really liked the frame after a couple weeks of play testing, but it wasn't until I changed the pallet that I decided it was the one for me and proceeded to chase down a few TGK237.1 coded Prestige Mid's.

I still have the Cayman and 3 PS85's, all the others are gone.

Sorry Thay - these beauties are not available. Took me awhile to get the two N90 with leather grip. These are all in prestine condition - which is very rare.

Did some of the n90 came with labels other than silver? I thought they were all silver.

The earliest/earlier Ncodes 90/95 came with the specs in a silver label and imo, was much more stabe. The later Ncodes came with the specs in a black label and those did not fit my taste. I had several black labels and couldn't wait to get rid of them.

You are lucky enough to own 3 silvers. Just don't try the black--you might start hating the n90. hehe

I had a Asian N90 with silver label and i thought it was one of the sweetest stick. Till this day i regret selling it, but luckily it was to another TWer. Hopefully he still has it.

Now, i only got 1 silver N90

AH! - Thanks for the heads up.

Funny thing is that when I weight the N90 both 3/8 grip are different
3/8 grip (my first n90 ) = 12.6oz
3/8 grip (new) = 12.8oz
1/2 grip (new) = 12.6oz

I played the new 3/8 today - strung with PSG 62 lbs. I noticed the string keep moving when I hit a heavy top spin. It's time to get it restring to a hybrid.

I am in the process of picking up a second K90 with sliver tab - (keeping my fingers crossed). My first K90 did come with a silver tab as well.

VERY NICE Vantage MN!

Are you keeping the K90 in original form (new)? should be a keeper

Its the silver sticker marked Quality inside the throat of the k90.

Well the prospect K90 turned out to be an Asian version - I was in search for the US version. I am bummed!

Interesting, I didn't know there was such a difference between those batches. I have a black label Asian N90 and I absolutely love it! I've never tried the silver one - maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but then again, ignorance is bliss! :)

I love seeing everyone's collections. One of these days I'll get my act together and take a picture of mine.

don't have to take pics for all of them... one at time is good.

Come post your treasures!
