How do you make a game of "mini-tennis"? I assume you play and score like a regular match, except the boundaries are the service boxes.

Here's the real question: how do you start a point? You can't serve like normal because you're so close to the net.

I thought mini-tennis was just a way to warm up by hitting groundstrokes very softly while opponents are standing at the service line. I've never heard of playing points this way.

Uh, sorry, but it's not mini tennis if you're volleying the ball (or not letting it hit the ground like badminton).

There are no official rules... some places have it where you need to just hit a starting shot underhand... others (our university team) will do something like starting the ball on the net and rolling it over, and so forth. I have never come across a mini tennis variation which allowed the ball to be volleyed out of the air.
