she plays so close to the lines, takes the ball very early, and just goes for her shots under extreme pressure. fun to watch.

serena and venus dont take ball as early or play as close to the lines, not to mention the errors.

i think she plays more like lendl. she plays pretty methodical and efficient and shes a clean ball striker and hits it hard

funny, watching tonights match, lendl-changs french open match came to mind. maria handled it much better than lendl did though.

Look no further, Sharapova plays exactly like Seles used to play in early 90s.

Sharapova's strokes are worlds ahead of Venus & S. She seems to go for more angles than they do, they just hit hard and go for the corners.

sharapova s game is similiar to agassi, seles, or connors. she hits a little flatter ball than seles, and finishes more points at the net. and seems to have the never say die mentality of connors.

Yup! I wanna see Seles 92 vs. Sharapova. That will be exciting!

PS) I don't feel she is that hot or something (and she is too young). I am just glad b/c she's bring lots of excitement to the game and I love her attitude (especially the white on her eyes when she serves!) Now, I wish another Maria (Maria Kirilenko) good luck! Can she make some impact next year?

my favorite point of the match was when Maria decided to go to the net in the second set and so she did and after hitting some volleys she won a point or two. Seing a girl in such a big match, one set down, to have the "balls" to play net all of a sudden and win was AWESOME.
