So, I'm a big proponent of 18x20 racquets. I love the control and the way it preserves softer strings for a tiny bit longer.

I've noticed that it is getting harder to find a variety of 18x20 sticks.

I'm interested in what you all think are the best 18x20 sticks that are available.

I play a dunlop mfil 18x20 with 10grams of lead on the end of the handle. What does everyone think would be good alternatives.

I like the Technifibre 335 18x20 by far the best.

I played with a friend's K95 with the 18x20 string pattern, and I was impressed. It's got the power of a stiff player's frame with solid control.

The Head Prestige series is always worth a demo. There you have the option of a mid sized racquet or a mid+.

Happy hunting.

The V-Engine Mid is a great 18x20 frame...

Any of the Radical racquets from the brand Head. They're ALL 18x20.

^^Isn't the Radical Tour 16x19?
The Wilson ROK is a very interesting choice.

This thread doesn't make much sense. An 18x20 string pattern on a 90 sq in frame is much more closed than an 18x20 OS 115 sq in. A closed pattern OS is like an open pattern mid, density-wise.

I like the Prostaff 6.1 series with the dense patterns. I use the Hyper pro staff 6.1 with the 18*20 pattern, i'd like to get hold of a Hyper pro staff 5.0 with the 18*19 pattern but its hard to find. I used to own the tecnifibre Tfight 320 with the 18*20 pattern but compared to the prostaffs it swings horribly. The 6.1 swings so smooth.

I second this, as the Redondo's too hard to find in the US.

Otherwise the Redondo's a great 18x20 stick.

I would recommend adding the Boris Becker 11 to your list of candidates.

Do the redondos play similarly to the old pro kennex black ace racquets? Or would a classic ps6.1 be more similar?

Control-wise, yes. Ease of play, no.

The Redondo's much easier to play than original Black Ace. (I say original becase there's a new BlackAce now.)

Wanna learn (or, rather, indulge) more about the Redondo, just check the link in my signature for the Redondo Thread.

I play with the n6.1-95, 18x20. Great control and feel. Spin and power are where I like. The k6.1 sounds like a slight improvement. You should demo it. The new Head MG Prestiges sound nice, too.

Very good point. The string pattern doesn't really play a part, its more of string density.
