View Full Version : TW, can you start selling power pads?

Many pros use power pads in their racquets. They seem to be an interesting substitute for players who don't want to use dampeners. Marat Safin and Roger Fetterer are two players who use power pads. I know Granville also uses them. Is there any way you can possibly start selling power pads?

power pads are just piece of leather put on the bottom grommets. you can make them yourself from an old/used leather grip or something else leather. just cut pieces of leather up and put them on when u string.
by the way, its Federer.

Go to a shoe repair store and ask him if you can buy a piece of leather. Use and Exacto knife to cut them up into little squares or rectangles about 1/4" long.

You can also use an old leather grip or go to a thrift store and buy a leather belt or two. Lots of ways to get the leather for these.
Use the lacing from a baseball glove. You can buy this separately for glove repairs.

How big do you cut them? Show me the shape of the leather you need for a power pad.
This big (ignore the dots)?
