its not a struggle its jut i win more when i play doubles, i like being able to pull on someone else and have them pull on you, i am also better at net and my other shots work well

I mainly play doubles now due to my Knee issues and guys at my level can rip clean winners from anywhere on the court if your leg is not 100%. Doubles work for me since i have pretty good serve and volley game and have a good forehand return. In upper levels, it is very important to hold serve consistantly cause it is not easy to break serve often. and mixing up the spin is always good idea so your opponent doesn't get grooved.

i've always wondered why alot of juniors don't like to play doubles. i love doubles more than singles. in my opinion you can call yourself an all court player unless you can play singles and doubles well.

Change the spins and height of the ball- it helps a lot once your opponent gets outside their comfort zone and if the net person doesn't move enough, go down the alley (also dont be afraid of hitting them ;])

Work with your partner as much as you can and work out solid strategy. Knowing general doubles geometrics is good too (knowing where you should go when your partner moves to x or hits ball to y).

http://www.operationdoubles.com/ is a great site.

Hit with your partner as much as possible. If you're having a tough rally during your match, hitting a hard ball at their body (assuming your opponent is at the net) is a tough shot to return. Also, while at the net, aim for your opponents feet. It's very hard to get back, plus when it's returned it's an easy put away ball. As far as getting out there and playing, try to find a doubles tournament through USTA, they're kind of scarce, but there is normally one per month or so.
