just wondering if anyone actually paid the 50 dollars a year, is it worth it? there are some older articles that i'd like to read, but i don't think it warrants 50 bucks.

I think it's worth it, but, of course, I'm biased.

We tried to make TennisRecruiting.net a website where both levels of service - free and Recruiting Advantage - are interesting.

Obviously, a lot of information is available for free. Also, players and parents only need a free account to enter information for college coaches on their profiles.

For general fans, Recruiting Advantage includes the following premium content:

the ability to view articles from the archives,
access to the prospects list on college team pages,
access to high-res photos,
discounts when purchasing prints, and
access to players' activity and historic rankings.

Players and parents get all of the above, plus:

access to the list of coaches viewing your player profile page,
ability to upload YouTube videos to your profile page, and
ability to request a player profile if you do not already have on - and also the ability to submit photos.

Seeing which coaches are viewing your profile - and how often - is the most popular feature among players. An example of what you can see is here:

http://www.tennisrecruiting.net/player/stats.asp?id=1000000

You can see exactly who is looking at your profile and when. We made this particular example page a while ago - most coaches now reveal their identity and do not use conference anonymity.

You can always check our comparison matrix here:

I hope this helps. Today we have almost 2,000 Recruiting Advantage members who take advantage of our premium services - I'm sure you can find someone to talk to about the service.

I wish they offered tiered accounts. Many juniors are at an age when college recruiting/coaches looking at them isn't important yet and isn't "legal". I do realize the website is about recruiting, but there is a lot of really excellent information not as related to that topic.

It would be nice if there was a mid-level account that would allow access to view pictures other than the miniscule thumbnails and to read the articles posted.

I understand your point, and we have had talks about that internally. However, we have no plans for a mid-level account at this time.

One other point... for a long-term user, the price for Recruiting Advantage is $39.95 because we offer a $10 discount on renewals. So although the first year's subscription costs $49.95, the price you will pay going forward is only $39.95.

I just use the free version. it's not worth paying 50 bucks a year for a website. it's of no personal benefit to anyone.

I just use the free version and get on a few times a week to see my ranking.

Viewing complete player records is one of our Recruiting Advantage services. that feature is only available to Recruiting Advantage members.

babolatking -

I understand your point. All I can say is that much of our content is available either for free or with a free account.

However, we do rely on Recruiting Advantage subscriptions to (among other things) offset the costs of our servers, data entry, fees for authors, etc. Some of our content - including all player records (even your own!) - requires Recruiting Advantage.

Note that we do make player records available to players in September so that they can review the records before our annual ratings.

If you want to view your record - or your activity - or college prospects - or photos - or the article archives - etc., etc., etc. - then consider becoming a Recruiting Advantage member.

Best,
Dallas
