I was just wondering what tournaments are the most fun, important, and where they are.

Really depends on what section your in, and your level. Any national ranking tournament is fun because you get to meet lots of people. Opens are also nice because they don't hurt or help, plus you can play people better or worse, giving you a chance to improve, or help someone improve.
