What's the best shot you have ever hit? Describe the whole point, and if it was crucial.

I myself was playing in a tournament where it was very close (I ended up winning 5-7, 7-5, 7-5). Anyway it was deuce (no ad) and I hit my serve, he came into the net, where I tried to pass him over and over. Eventually I tried to move into the net because I have better net play then him, and he lobbed it over me where it hit the back right corner. If anyone has seen the video of Fed hitting the no look overhead winner on Roddick this is exactly what this was. I was 3 feet wide, 2 feet back, and I thought to myself "Oh what the hell." I jumped, 180'd, and smacked it. He was still standing at the center of the net which was his mistake. My ball came flying at him, and it was perfectly in the center right over the tape, and right at his body. He couldn't stick the volley. I looked to my Dad and my opponent and couldn't believe it. The two of us laughed about it when we switched sides.

wow nice... mine was probably when i was playing with some guys at the local court... I was playing doubles with my best friend and i serve and volleyed to get to the net quickly. Right as i got to the net, one of my opponents lobbed way over on my side, so i went running as fast as i could and hit a down the line tweener... but the other opponent at the net hit a drop volley... so i ran up and dove for the bal and dropped it on the other side and won the point. I felt so awesome =P... i bad i can hit those kinda things all the time

My friend and I were playing a competitive match to see who was better (I won the set :p). In one point during my service game, My friend kept hitting corner shots and kept making me run. I think the score was like 3-3, love-40 at the time. So after this one corner shot, he decided to do a drop shot. I knew I wasn't going to make it in time so I slid my racquet where the ball was going to land (kinda like a bowling ball), and the ball caught the racquet and the ball barely passed the net into my friends side. However, I ended up losing that game point, but still won the set 6-4.

True Story: My best is a doubles match being down match-point (with deuce, no ad) to a team with an absolutely huge server. He stepped up to the line and hit his first serve as hard as he could (probably 120 mph) right at my body in the deuce court. I move out of the way as fast as possible and thought "Why not?" and hit my forehand return as hard as I possibly could, not thinking at all that it would be a net skimmer going 110 mph right at the guy's :shock: Ouch! Hurts just thinking about it these days. We went on to win the match, but that guy never served to my forehand the rest of the day.

i was match point down against my friend and i went for a forehand and rifled it to the baseline and sideline (hit both lines), it was great because i was match point down, ... and it was a return winner off a first serve. that was memorable for me and I ended up winning the match... but probably not my best shot ever...this was over 3 years ago

coolest shot ever would have to have been a dropshot acute angle while playing doubles...I was on the run out wide then when i was in the other court's doubles alley (nobody thought i could do anything w/the ball) I went for the cross court acute angle drop shot winner, (not real slow either), it was awesome and the other team had to run across 3 courts just to get the ball...this was about 2 months ago.

Also, i hit my friend in the groin w/my first serve (by acccident) and also several people in the middle of the chest w/my american twist serve...also i hit a drop shot where it comes back over the net on a few occasions.

....probably the worst shot i've ever seen...I didn't do this, was my friend fred hit kim(the girl tennis player who keeps up w/us guys) and hit an overhead as hard as he could and hit kims boobs, it was horrible..., i think he hit her in the back of the head once too...right panamamyrs?

Also...the best match i played was my last match of a fun singles tournament... To get first place I had to win my last match 8-0 in a pro set...The guy i played serves in the high 90's and has a huge game, i've actually lost to him before...I said I was going to focus and get everything back, let him make the errors, i won 8-0! I was so happy to get my 2 free string jobs and get first place in the tournament!

mine was in the national open two days ago. i had won the first 76 lost the second 63. was down 5-0 in the third then i came creeping back to 5-4. I could see him nervous and this was the point where i knew i was gunna win. I hit a serve at him. he blasted it back we had about a 10 ball rally then he came to the net. I lobbed him and followed in. he got it back then i hit a drop volley. he jetted up and hit a lob then i went back and hit a tweener for a winner to make it 5-5. i won 76 36 76. COOOOOOOME ONNNNNNNN!!!!!!

mine was at this local tournament and i won the first set 6-3 then lost the second 6-7 in a tiebraker and i was down 5-3 on his serve in the third it was match point and we got into a really long rally then i decied to try to end the point at the net then he hits a lob to right in the sun and i couldnt really see the ball so when i swung i hit a total mishit and the had so much spin on it it landed on his side then bounced over back to my side and i ended up winning 7-5 in the third

I've hit many cord balls in game (they're very exciting :] ) and once I got lobbed and i turned around and ran towards the baseline and i hit the ball over my head still facing the baseline and it was in.. wasn't a winner though :[

another time i was playing with my friend and my brother 2 vs 1 and i was running wide to return a ball.. it skimmed on the net for maybe 3 or 4 feet and dropped back on my side :'[

mine was in a tourney, i was on the run and the guy wrongfooted me, i dove and hit a 1hander winner down the line. also i hit one in chickweed like the tweener fed hit against henman
