Hi, I posted a while back that my Junior was underperforming in Germany because of psychological tricks like the opponent screaming C'MON!! after every time he messed up. (One variation of this was soft at first and then louder and louder.) We did make it to the US and the Junior Tennis environment is great here.
The refs are more serious about their job. If they are called because of bad calls, they stay until the game is over instead of wandering off after a few minutes.
There have been a couple of "C'MON!" yellers, but their heart just isn't in it and we were able to laugh them off. Not one player has screamed out "DOUBLE FAULT!" vindictively, for example.
My Junior is able to enjoy tournaments and improve his game.
You parents are lucky here.

yeah u gotta it pretty much right. american junior tennis is great. almost every tournament i've been to i've had a good time hanging out with everyone as well as going out to dinner or something after day 1 or the tournament itself. but going back to your statement of the come ons and yelling. it all depends on where you go. it's every where and eventually you will find it. a problem i think we have here and not only here but everywhere is that we put so much pressure on these kids to perform and win the pressure in my opinion isn't good for the kids. i've seen many arguements between parents and it can get nasty but when it's over me and some of the older players just laught about it.

Ahaha, wait until you see High School tennis. Your kid will hate it if it's anything like it is in my area.

We weren't thinking about high school tennis. Not sure how we could fit that into our schedule. We are really tired after weekend USTA tennis tournaments, we recover, get some other work done, the kids practice with friends and we start over!
