Hey i recently tried the V tour 10 MID and really liked it. But a DNX 10 mid has been made and i just wanted to know the pros and cons. Sorry if this has been discussed a million times, i couldn't search because of the (10), the search engine doesn't allow two characters. I currently use the K95, and think it has too much power (i have already messed around with string tensions).

Also NBMJ, how would you compare these to Becker 11 (not light)? And is Volkl planning to release another MID frame like the tour 10 and dnx?

do you know what swingweight is best for you? the frames you mention are all harder to swing fast than the T10VEMid. If you can handle heavier frames, those are all nice frames all playing differently and all playing differently than the T10VEMid.

Thanks Samster!

NBMJ,
I don't have problems with weight, my K95 (current stick) has a static weight of 12.7 oz, and i have pretty good racquet head speed on my strokes as told by some teaching pros at my club. Oh if they all play differently, i guess i'll have to demo all. I just wanted to scratch some of them out.

If you can handle the weight, I would demo them all. they all have advantages over the T10VEMid. The Becker11Mid is replacing the dnx10Mid. If you like the 10VEMid because of the denser stringbed, I would start with the becker11Standard

Well i'm not a big fan of 18x20 frames but spin was easily accessible with the T10VEMid and i could hit heavy balls. And i like the T10VEMid's price too :D.

Also do you know if they are going to either drop the price more or if they are going to discontinue these frames?

I recently picked up a Tour V10 Engine Mid. It's arriving by the end of the week.

I normally play with open string pattern and use hybrid strings. Poly (17g) on Main 56# and Syn (16g) on Cross 58#.

I strung my FLEXPOINT Prestige with the same tension above and the feel is not the same compare to open string pattern. I noticed a decrease in power and the string bed felt stiffer.

NTRP rating 4.0 - all court player.

Any suggestion on the tension?

when stringing multis, i use 53 mains and 57 crosses. with polys u will need to adjust the tension per the mfgs advice.

good luck and have fun.

TW is selling off the DNX10 mids at $109.95 in the US. This is one of the best racquets that Volkl has ever produced.

badcall,
I tend to like the 16X19 stringbeds. Always seems to give me better control and good power. The exception I found is the BB11S (18X20) which works really well.

You still have one great racquet ... I paid $169 for mine, if that makes you feel any better.

i think the T10V mid has spoiled me regarding control. might give the dnx 10 mid a try for giggles.
