Hi…

I own a Vantage 100 inch RA 63. It has great touch and feel but not that much power when compared to something like a Babolat Pure Drive. I tired a PD and it has an amazing amount of power but is very hard on my arm.

I’m considering buying another Vantage 100 inch with an RA of70. My question is as follows:

How does a Vantage 100 inch with an RA of 70 compare to a Babolat Pure Drive in terms of stiffness and comfort?

Thanks in advance…

Have used both, found the Vantage 70 to be a little more comfortable than the PD though hits in the upper hoop are not pleasant (that was with the 11 and 11.4 ounce Vantages -- unstrung weight).

Thanks for your help....I think i'll look for something with an RA of about 64 or 65. That might be more comfortable than a 70.

I had fairly crisp poly in the Vantage so you may want to try the 70 flex nonetheless, especially if you use multi, hybrid, or a soft poly like Klip

I've played both and find more than enough power from the 63 RA strung at 52 lbs. with a multifilament (I use the 11.4 oz unstrung/10 pt headlight unstrung 100" frame). The RA 70 was a bit stiff for my liking but by no means as harsh on the arm as a PD.

In my opinion, Babolats are a completly different animal...you either love them or hate them. Given their unique feel, it's hard to replicate them elsewhere.

tedescm...the RAs listed by Vantage are unstrung measurements. As a general rule, it will drop by 3 after stringing (i.e. the 70 RA is actually a 67 RA strung). Hope this helps!
