View Full Version : Do I Have A Rare Racquet

01-10-2008, 06:41 AM
I recently acquired a PS 6.1 si with a 110 head. This is not a stretch..it is a standard 27 inch racquet..not a "largehead".
What makes this unique...and possibly rare.. is that one side of the head has the "95 sq " while the other side of the head has the "110 sq". These are both stamps from the Wilson factory that cannot be removed and ar part of the frame. I will be listing this for sale to see if there are any collectors out there.

Any Opinions please

thanks, Ken

It's a defect, not a feature.

They did make an oversize I think, they probably just stamped the wrong thing on one side of the frame. I reckon it's just a defect also

It's probably just a defect.

However, one man's trash may be another man's treasure...

The racquet itself is not sought after to begin with. So the answer is NO. If you had a St Vincent and it had a misprint, then you may have something, but this racquet is nothing special in terms of a collector's item.

To answer your question....you do have a rare racket.

As others have said, it's not that sought after.

When it comes to making money from a Wilson racquet the magic word is "ST.Vincent". (Yes, I know that's two words.)

I do have a code on the butt cap

Seeing as it's a 6.1 it most likely isn't a SV.

I do have a code on the butt cap

actually it is most likely NOT made in SV. does it have a letter Q at the end (it may look like an O). When someone mentions SV, they mean the 85 head. Wilson started with the large head and then made the midsize. Yoiu say it is NOT the largehead? was the largehead a 125?

Oh, that's nothing! I have a racket that has one side saying Wilson, and the other Yonex.
