Well, they're still using Slazenger balls at wimbledon... hehe...

But to the effect of racquet sales, i know 1-2 ppl who do use Slazenger racquets. Of course, i dont see any such racquets hanging in the shops i visit.

Doesnt Mardy Fish use a Slazenger...Still: No visibility in shops, no buyers...a pity: I loved the Slazengers of the late 80s...

Nope, he switched sponsorships to Wilson last year, which is what he was using all along anyway underneath his Dunlop and Slazenger paintjobs (a clone of his old Wilson PS 6.1 Classic, that is).

i didnt even think henman was using a slazenger, i thought he was using a wilson.
and the slazenger balls arent that good anymore either. if it wasnt for the fact that the balls are changed every 7, then 9 games at wimbledon, they wouldnt be used there

Tim uses a Dunlop/Salzenger version of his old wilson. Not a repainted one. Same basic specs.

And Slazenger balls are great - especially compared to Wilson and Penn. Ball changes are usually at 7 and 9. That's just how it's done.

They sell recreational slazenger rackets over here in most sports stores. I'm not sure what else to call them.. they're quite cheap made and not like what TW would sell. I have seen Pro X-1s for sale once in some little town.

Slazenger NX-One is a great racquet for doubles players or serve-volleyers. Good spin, comfort and mobility. Power is surprisingly good on groundstrokes, there's some nice bite on slice shots and topspin is easy to generate. Despite the low weight (11.3oz) it isn't the quickest through the air but a physically strong player will find it no trouble at all. It also rates as one of the very best serving racquets I have ever used, right up there with the Head Prestige mid (biggest compliment I can give).

If you're a decent player and not into labels you'll find it a very good hit.
