Gather around as we take our picks for UFC 81 live on PPV on February 2.

* Interim Heavyweight Championship: Tim Sylvia vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
* Heavyweight Bout: Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar
* Middleweight Bout: Alan Belcher vs. Ricardo Almeida
* Middleweight Bout: Nate Marquardt vs. States Jeremy Horn

I'm going to take Nog with a second round submission. The Lesnar-Mir fight will be interesting, but I haven't seen Lesnar fight so I can't comment.

Saw Lesnar's 1st fight, going with Mir. Pick Sylvia, Almeida, Marquardt, and Griffin.

Marq is a beast and though I like Horn, there isn't much tread left on the tires. Sylvia and Nog is an interesting match-up. Sylvia CAN keep most wrestlers are bay with that long reach and can definitely bore us to death with his style. If Nog can get inside, a la Capt. America, I think he'll get a submission in Rnd 2. Lesnar and Mir is also interesting. World class wrestler, very strong, excellent cardio for a big man and basically no neck (no rear naked chokes :)) against the experience and subs of Mir. I think Mir will need to work an arm bar and he does well against big dudes but his best days are behind him. I still think Mir will get a sub.

Watching UFC 21 now and Jeremy Horn is on the card! On UFC 22 too, Horn v Jason Godsey. Frank Shamrock v Tito Ortiz were the main event, 9/24/1999.

I have a feeling they're not going to do any serious drug testing on Brock Lesnar.

Big Nog over Big Idiot.
Mir over Lesnar.
Nate over Jeremy.

It's a shame I'm not going to be able to watch it. But I saw a segment on TV about Lesnar's life and training, and it just makes me want to watch it more.

Big Nog, Mir, don't know who to call on Belcher/Almeida (both are great fighters), Marquardt.
Big ifs for tonight:
1. if Mir's fight goes more than a round, Frank could be in trouble. And as good of a wrestler as Lesnar is, there is a BIG difference between fighting for points and fighting to preserve a joint or bone from breaking.
2. if Marquardt gets taken down, it can be anybody's game. Nate has great G'nP, but everybody knows how slick Horn is on the ground (crazy to think he learned that from videotapes, huh?).

I wont be watching. Not worth it at all :( Maybe if Hulk Hogan was fighting i would order it.

Hulk Hogan couldn't beat Tiny Lister in a no holds barred match.

Nog by decision.
Lesnar TKO round 2.
Marq by decision over Gumby.

Barry Bonds in the hissouse tonite! Griffin punching great tonite and he wins! Rampage Jackson on the next Ultimate Fighter w/Forrest Griffin. Btw, why is there a unification middleweight fight between UFC Anderson Silva and Pride Dan Henderson? Rob Yundt taking Alan Belcher's place, choked out. Ken Griffey Jr. there too. Marquardt wins in rd 2 by standing guillotine. Matt Serra v St. Pierre in Montreal UFC 83. Mir/Lesnar up next!!! Kurt Angle in the house! Mir wins 1st rd by ankle lock. Nog looks outashape. Sylvia fights like Lurch. Nog wins by guillotine choke! Fedor best watch out.
