View Full Version : Making Nblade more stable?

I love my nBlade.. but i noticed that when playing defensively it isn't as stable against hard hitters. Does that make sense? Because of its flex it feels like the racquet absorbs way too much of the force so it doesn't really use the opponents pace against them. at least imo. I need an arm friendly racquet, which is why i use it. Would adding lead tape help? and if it does where? I usually have to switch to my o3 white since it feels a little more stable against such shots but is still arm friendly. Any feedback would be appreciated!

You could always swing, and hit the sweetspot.
But if response isn't satisfactory, adding lead tape would increase stability, as it does with most things. The flex is, indeed, absorbing a lot of the force, so you just have the swing at it. That's the best thing to do. If you add lead and still not swing, it's not going to help you too much.

Lead at the 3 and 9 positions may help...

Never had that problem with the Nblade.
The only times I notice that I am not sending the ball back as forcefully as they came are:
when my counter stroke follows the topspin motion more than the flat motion.
when my forward swing is not timed correctly.
when i hit too far away from the sweetspot.
It'll take some work, but I'll get there.
