6 stroke rally means 3 per person when hitting 1 on 1.

One-up and one back has been seen a bit more frequently in the pros, particularly in the women's game. I think. However, you often still see 3 or 4 players at the net as the point progresses. For players at 3.5 or 3.0 and lower, you rarely see 2 partners at the net together.

In doubles we always start out with one up one back and we never had two up at any point. If any one moves back and it becomes two back That's why I completely forgot about the more advanced position (two-up). :)
