Wow, I wish I had that type of coordination. That looks really good, I can't find any flaw in it.

It sounds right, it has the sound of a good serve...

Pretty good...

It took me almost about the same time to for me to have a basic lefty serve...

(Originally played with two-hands on both wings with left hand at the end of the handle and served with my right, now I play complete lefty)

I can:)

That's pretty impressive for a month. But for one look where you land. On the other side of the T, a few feet behind you. That tells you something is wrong. It looks almost like you are just falling over, you need to go up into the ball.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt since it was with his off-hand. I was being nice.

Welcome fellow switch-hitter. We should form a new club (jk, not really into the whole club thing). I am a lefty who has developed a passable righty serve cuz of shoulder issues with the left.

That's not too bad for a natural righty. I think you know there are many things to fix so just mirror your form from your righty serve. Now if your righty serve is a mirror image of your lefty serve, you're in some serious trouble.

Just got the chance to view your vid. Not bad at all for 1 month. Will mention a few things that you can work on to improve it.

The position of your left elbow in your trophy position is a little on the high side. It looks like it is at the same level or a little higher than your left shoulder. It should be a bit a bit lower than the left shoulder -- such that the right shoulder, left shoulder and left elbow are in a tilted alignment.

You also want to make sure that you achieve a pectoral stretch from the left side of your chest to your left shoulder by getting and keeping your left elbow back from the trophy thru the racket drop behind your back . This was discussed recently on page 1 of the following thread:

tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=177870&page=1 (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=177870&page=1)

It looks like your tossing arm comes down a bit too early. After you release the ball, make sure right hand keeps moving upward to reach as high as you can. This will get the right shoulder higher & yield a better shoulder tilt for the trophy pose (mentioned above). Try to keep this hand up there until the racket head drops behind your back. When you do let if drop, try to bring it down across your stomach (as if hugging your midsection) rather than letting the arm swing to the right side of your body (and behind you).

It appears that you are falling way off to the right on your follow-thru. Instead, you should be "falling" forward, in the direction of the flight of the ball. There are a couple of things that you can do to correct this. Try to land on your right foot so that it points in the direction of the serve. Sometimes your foot points way off to the right instead.

The other part of the problem is the action of your left leg. In watching your ad side serves, I see that it often swings out to the left and then swings around to step across your body -- with this foot you are stepping way off to the right, in the direction of the right net post rather than in the direction of your serve.

This action rotates your hips too much and causes (or is a result of) your falling to the right. To rectify this, try kicking your left foot up toward the back fence instead of kicking it to the left side. Check out follow thru and landing of Will (a lefty) in the following clip:

I really like that hyou are developing a good slice. There is no use to being a lefty if you are not goign to hit heavy slice

For some reason (don't ask me why), I'm not buying this story.

As coordinated as you may be, I can't buy a guy building THAT lefty serve IN A MONTH, and only because of tennis elbow.

So either:

1) You're a lefty, and that's your normal serve, but you didn't have the guts to admit it.

2) The video is mirrored, you are indeed a righty who has a rather weak serve, but wanted to look cool.

3) You're not lying, that's your real lefty serve, and I have to eat my words and applaud you.

But for some reason, I'm not buying it.
Sorry for being a pri-ck, but what can I do? I AM a pri-ck :p

I'd have to go with Andres on this one. I don't believe that's a natural righty's serve in 1 month. Maybe you did switch but took longer but that serve looks too coordinated for a guy just playing a month with that hand.

Thanks for the support, and not making me look like a complete ba$tard, firstservethenvolley.

Plus, who develops a lefty serve because of tennis elbow? Tennis elbow goes away with rest after some weeks, or even two months.

But you're out on the court, and yet, you have no problem picking up balls and tossing them. When you have tennis elbow, grabbing stuff is a torture chamber. The simple 'closing your fist' action is painful. But yet, you're out there, like you don't care about anything.

Sorry, but in my own personal opinion, this is bogus.

Very similar to Keere-ten.

Like Richard GERE, but with a K.
