Does anyone know the current setup of Jamie Murray? I'm interested in the weight, balance, and stringing tension. Just curious.

Well he does use a Dunlop Aerogel 500 Tour. Whether this is stock, customized or a PJ I do not know, I did search around trying to find out since he appears to be one of two pros using this stick (self interest here obvious) but was not able to find details.

He has been using it for a while, was using same in David Cup match at Wimbledon last fall.

Yeah, he's been using an Ag 500 tour pj the last year, Apparently his old nSix-One's were pretty heavy.

Is he still using Luxilon Big Banger Original? If so, he is the only strictly doubles player using it that I know of.

OK so you are saying he is using a pure PJ?

Dunlop frame or other?

Any details as to setup, strings etc.?

I ask since you may have more info being from Scotland.

On TV it looks like he is using full ALU Power.

Hi, No idea to be honest, He used to use a radical variant in the past, then he has an nSix-One, whether it be a pj or not.He could well be using a dunlop pro mold or even an AG 500 tour mold just completely custom.I'll try find out but seriously doubt I will.

Rubbish. Murray's frames are the same type of special edition that Dunlop provided for Mardy Fish and Slazenger for Tim Henman. It's essentially a clone of the Wilson 6.1 he was formerly using but without the PWS.

Seriously, one look at Murray's racquet and you can tell he's not using the 500: not that anyone should be willing to believe that a player of his calibre is going to swap from a 6.1 to a racquet like that.

You are probably right. But what kind of mallet and stretching equipment did they use the change the headshape and beams on that 6.1?

It isn't a 6.1 If AndrewD's right it's the same as: Fish,Henman and Rusedski, a clone of a 6.1 without pws. No idea whether it's XL'd or not.

Not a 6.1 - correct.

6.1 "clone without PWS"? The headshape is different (check the top half) (and larger) though?

Ofcourse, It has a dunlop headshape, this isn't the first instance of players having this done. Look at henmans racket, fish's dunlops aswell, they didn't have a wilson headshape did they.

Could you let us know how you know for a fact the 500 Tour is "real" given the feedback from AndrewD and JonnyF?

Sorry this is what I was looking for.

Any way to elaborate on this?

Also any details as to how the stick may have been customized?

OK so it is not a 6.1 clone without PWS but rather something similar with a Dunlop head shape.

I have no problem with the notion that Jamie Murray's stick is a PJ (notwithstanding my sig LOL) - but if that is the case I am trying to get to the bottom of the stick being a PJ of what exactly.

Also, assuming you are right are you saying that the other Dunlop tour players using the same stick but with different PJs?
