Anyone remember a 10 yr. old racquet, the Volkl Tournament Pro? It is red with yellow lettering. Where did it fit into the Classic line and did any pro use it? Collecting old Volkls and this one is a bit different than others, 16x18 string pattern, balanced more headlight.

Great stick, I used it for a season or two.
I saw Petr Korda use it one year at the Lipton, but it was most likely a Tournament Pro paintjob of his trusted T9.
I think that was one of Volkl's best products ever, you're lucky to have one.

I believe it was at the time Volkl's top of the line player racket, basically the predecessor to the C10 Comp and came out after the T9 line bit the dust. (This was the period of the switch from the V throat Volkl was using in the late 80s and early 90s in the T9s to the conventional throat the C10 comp had.)

Have an oversized Volkl Pro with individual grommets that has the V throat. Most of these racquets have more fiberglass than any current racquet except the Estusas or low-end models.

I have about 4 of these at home... but all of them need bumper guards... I would play with them again if I could find bumper/grommet kits for them... they are mids... anybody???
