was the hammer or head-heavy racquet invented by someone or did wilson just come up with it? did head-heavy racquets come out first than wide-bodied racquets? what was the first hammer racquet by wilson? thanks.

Its true...he should have been a millionaire but wilson stole his idea...he tried to sue them but the world just thought he was crazy...I really feel sorry for John..

The inventor of the Hammer racquet by Wilson is Jack L. Frolow.

thanks vsbabolat! reading from the patent filed by frolow, it seems like he was more concerned about "...a reduction in the shock and vibration received by the player's hand upon impact of the racket with the ball." than the head-heaviness or the power aspect of it. LOL, that's irony for you. :D
