For eg,

before addition of prefix:

after adding &fmt=18 :
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=M8N4e7uSulM&feature=related&fmt=18


Doesn't work on absolutely every single video, but works on most of them, makes seeing the ball a lot easier

I think you're right. I've been in front of the computer all day at work, so I'm not sure I can see well anymore. But I think it's a bit better.
