Yes, I think the best string made is Wilson Extreme which is crazy cheap.

I used to play tennis with a guy quite a bit when I lived in nevada and he used the cheapest string I ever heard of, seen and tried : combat nylon. he strung his rackets very loose and he used frames graphite made by Garcia very big hitting area about 100 sq. he was an excellent player! A very very solid 6.0 player. he was an austrian. Heinz Hamza was his name.

I second this. It is not the most durable string but i think it breaks just about when it needs to be restrung.

I need to keep cheap string around for the HS players I coach, with low budgets, and Extreme is in the house, for the decent players, and Prince Nylon for the rest. I also keep Leoina 66 around for a good friend who is a solid player. He likes it for his arm.

All kind of strings for all kinds of players.

Gosen Sheep Micro

I've used this stuff since I started playing, many...many...years ago.
