quality of handle re-molding?

Since I can't find any Head L5 pallets, I'm considering sending a few new/used frames to New Tech Tennis. Does anyone know what kind of quality control they keep, or if polyurethane will be chipping off, etc? I know they offer only Wilson grip shapes. I also don't like how they will have to remove the plastic collars; then I'd also have to get new grips for the longer handles, not to mention new butt caps or the price, plus shipping, time, etc. Why oh why can't Head offer some new pallets and butt caps to the public that has already spent money on their rackets anyway..Head only has them free for certain pros only. Instead of playing with some sweet frames and showing them to other people, mine are just collecting dust . . .

This will not make you feel any better - but up until 1996, Head had a factory shop in Colorado where one could send frames for new pallets. They were installed on the spot. I remember talking to one of the shop guys when it was closed by Head. Pretty sad...
