I dont understand my coach!! I've asked this

few times on this forum, but what do you guys think about

poly/poly hybrid?

It's Gosen Polylon 17g (mains)/ BB Ace 18g(cross).

I asked him about poly/syn gut hybrid, and he said this poly set up will be

softer than poly/syn gut hybrid.

Has anybody tried setup? or explain why my coach loves this setup?

I dont understand...

Flex on Poly/Poly is stiffer than Poly/Syn Gut.

It will not be softer.

No way is it softer! And why wouldnt you put the lux in the mains...? Seems like covering filet mignon in ketchup to me otherwise...

Does your coach play tennis?

You should be happy you don't understand that because it's obvious that your coach is a little off.

he's about late 40s now but still cranking the ball really well.

should i just find someone who can string it for me?

cuz im a junior in highschool and i dont think my parents will let me buy

the stringer and reels of strings cuz they think im spending too much time

in Tennis.....

i totally understand where you're coming from. i'm a junior in hs too and parents think i spend way to much money in tennis and i actually don't spend as much as my other team mates so they should be thankful.

but i honestly don't know what to tell you about your strings, i play with poly/syn gut hybrid.. a few of my team mates do too

Thats a strange hybrid....the BB Ace should be put in the mains...even then its still strange!

I too, like the stiffer string in the mains and softer strings in the crosses. So, in this case, the Gosen would go in the crosses.

Also, a poly/poly hybrid will be stiffer than a poly/SG hybrid. Try them both out and decide for yourself which is stiffer.

If you've had wrist or TE trouble in the past, I'd go with the poly/SG hybrid.
