Racket flat beam and tapered beam

Hi I have a question about the beam width.
For some rackets, such as the Babolat Pure Storm Tour and Head Flexpoint Prestige, the beam is flat..

Other rackets, such as Microgel instinct (other instincts too) have a rounder and thicker beam.

Does the beam width make a diff in power or control or stability? Thanks

Beam width usually contributes to how stiff/flexible a racquet will be in that area of the racquet. All of the RDC measurings that indicate a racquet's flexibility are measured at the same area of each racquet, if I'm not mistaken...
